Getting started

Do I need to edit my theme code?

No. Snagzi runs as a Shopify app embed. Turn it on under Online Store โ†’ Themes โ†’ Customize โ†’ App embeds, or use Open theme editor in Snagziโ€™s Settings.

Why can't I see the game on my store?

Check these in order:

  • The campaign is active, not a draft or paused.
  • The Snagzi app embed is on and saved in your published theme.
  • The campaign targets the device you are using (all devices, desktop or mobile).
  • Its schedule, appearance delay or page rules allow the page you are on.
  • Your monthly play allowance is not used up.

Then open Settings and select Check again.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The game supports touch, and you can show a campaign on all devices, desktop only or mobile only. Mobile means screens narrower than 768 pixels.

Can I try it before shoppers see it?

Yes. The live preview in the campaign editor runs the real game with example rewards. Previews never use your play allowance, and draft campaigns stay hidden from shoppers.

Rewards

Are the discount codes real?

Yes. Each reward is a unique Shopify discount code starting with SNG-. It is single-use, expires after the time you choose, and can require a minimum order.

What if a shopper claims twice?

They get the same code back instead of a second one. The time between rewards setting controls when they can earn a new reward.

Can shoppers share a code?

Codes are regular Shopify discount codes, so an unused code can be shared. Each code works once, and your campaign stops issuing codes at its total reward limit.

Do shoppers need an account?

No. Anyone can play. Signed-in customers are recognized across devices.

Plans and plays

What counts as a play?

One play is counted when a shopper makes their first successful catch in a mission. Preview games do not count. The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC), on monthly and yearly billing alike.

What happens if I reach my limit?

New mission starts pause until the allowance resets or you upgrade. Shoppers who already started can finish, and issued codes stay valid. There are no automatic overage charges. Free includes 250 plays a month, Starter 5,000 and Growth 25,000.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, including switching between monthly and yearly. Plans are managed through Shopify, which confirms the price before you subscribe. Your campaigns and translations are kept. If a smaller plan allows fewer active campaigns or features, those campaigns keep their settings and wait until you upgrade or pause others.

Is there a free trial?

Starter and Growth include a 7-day free trial through Shopify. Shopify counts trial days per store, so a store that already used its trial may not get a new one after reinstalling. Free has no trial because it is free.

I build stores for clients. How do I test Snagzi?

In a development store you can select Starter or Growth at no charge, following Shopifyโ€™s App Pricing rules. On your clientโ€™s live store, the client chooses and pays for a plan through Shopify.

Does Snagzi guarantee more sales?

No. Results depend on your traffic, products and reward. Analytics shows activity and, once order access is available, orders that used Snagzi codes. That does not prove Snagzi caused extra sales.

Privacy and data

Does Snagzi collect shopper emails?

Only in an email signup campaign, and only when the shopper gives explicit marketing consent. You can download consents in Settings โ†’ Email signups & privacy.

Why are some shoppers missing from analytics?

Analytics includes only shoppers whose privacy choice allows it. Shoppers who decline can still play and earn rewards, and monthly play usage still counts all first catches.

What happens to data when I uninstall?

Game sessions expire after 30 days, and your storeโ€™s data is deleted when Shopify sends its deletion request after uninstall. See the privacy policy for details.
